Plus1

The first image from a personal project that I have labeled 'Plus1'. This series is studio based, all shot on 5x4. The idea behind it is an opportunity for all the models to convey them selves in the particular way of their choice, that they would like to be seen and remembered.
This is going to be a summer based exhibition with all of these images printed in the darkroom on fiber based paper.

Cow Skull

A shoot for part of a literal 'still life' body of work. The Venetian blinds I found in the attic when I moved into the house, and the skull was borrowed from a collection.

Komplot in Prague

This was shot last year in the Czech Republic. The graffiti on the abandoned building shows a group of 'youths' addressing the Komplot, or conspiracy.

The Crow and the Pitcher

A set constructed to use this fantastic bird that I found one morning. Finding this bird was the starting point to most of my recent work.

10x8 Studio

First two edits of some studio tests that Nicholas White and myself shot this week. They are fairly dense images due to us using paper negs which the ISO averages around 5. The simple lighting was created by a black colour-armour and just one octagon soft box.

Cabinet Skin Series

Two images shot on my new Sinar f2 5x4, part of my minor project that addresses the idea of possession and the ownership of the dead. Because I have avoided using an obvious shock tactic to grasp attention to this work, it makes it more of an in depth study of curiosity.

'Still Life'

Two images from second year degree show. Having collected these roadkill birds, I hung them up and inserted wire into the wings to make them more maneuverable. This was necessary due to rigor mortis.
